The new Virgin Money Sheffield Lounge opened it’s doors for the first time on Monday 11 July at 66 Fargate.
Our Lounges are designed to be interesting, stimulating and comfortable places for customers to relax and communities to come together.
Lounge membership is free for all Virgin Money customers and the Lounge facilities are available for use by local charities and community groups.
Lounge visitors can choose to put their feet up and enjoy the facilities, use the Lounge for an informal business meeting or if they want to customers can also do their personal banking.
The Sheffield Lounge takes the customer experience typically on offer in other Virgin Money Lounges to a new level, offering a games area with two full-size ten-pin bowling lanes, table football, a pool table, air hockey and a children’s play area.
There is also a quieter floor featuring a library and a bar area with complimentary soft drinks and refreshments, as well as a specially commissioned steel sculpture from Yorkshire artist Anita Bowerman.
Customers can also enjoy the benefits of free wi-fi, newspapers, magazines plus use of the Lounge iPads and iMacs. Our Lounges are exclusively for Virgin Money customers, their guests and community groups.
Jayne-Anne Gadhia, Virgin Money’s Chief Executive said:
At Virgin Money our ambition is to make everyone better off, and we’ve set our heart on bringing our unique approach to banking to the people of Sheffield.
To do that, we are going to open our most exciting Virgin Money Lounge to-date. Our Sheffield Lounge is much more than just a bank – it’s a place where community and charity groups can meet to work on their plans for the local area.
We’ve built a games room because we wanted to create somewhere people could come together and enjoy each other’s company. It’s time for a better kind of bank and Virgin Money and Sheffield’s new Lounge are here to deliver that.
We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome everyone into our Lounge and into our business.
We hope everyone will come and have some fun with us across the Charity Superbowl weekend and understand just what Virgin Money might be able to do for them.
