Fundrasing at the Virgin Money Sheffield Lounge

Fundrasing at the Virgin Money Sheffield Lounge

Earlier this year our Virgin Money Sheffield Lounge hosted a spectacular charity fundraising event. The evening saw the great and the good turn out to support Sheffield Hospitals Charity and Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind. SRSB were raising funds for a team of Virgin Money London Marathon runners who were given places in the race by the Lounge.

Take a look at the video to see the evening in full swing!

The night started with a bang as the Lord Mayor of Sheffield opened the proceedings, followed by inspirational speeches from Bryony Page, Olympic Silver Medalist in Trampolining Paul Smith and England’s Strongest Man and Commonwealth Diver Freddie Woodward. Bryony shared her inspirational story to over 130 guests and brought many people to tears when she shared footage of her silver medal winning routine. Paul Smith wowed guests by performing an unexpected bench press on a member of the audience… you just never know what is going to happen in our Lounges!

The event raised over £1600 and was a real life example of Virgin Money’s ethos Everyone’s Better Off, celebrating everything that is great about our Lounges and the local communities, as well as the charities we work with.
