Making history on the historic High Street

When you think of historic streets you might think of Baker Street, Pigeon Street and, of course, Sesame Street but perhaps one of the most historic is Edinburgh’s very own High Street which is situated on the Royal Mile with the city’s Old Town. The Royal Mile starts from just outside Edinburgh Castle and stretches all the way down to the Palace of Holyrood, an official residence to Queen Elizabeth II.

The High Street is also home to the Virgin Money Street Events during the Fringe. Here you can see over 1,200 groups performing hundreds of family friendly shows each and every day of the Fringe.  The Virgin Money Street Events is an area bursting with colour, sounds, talent, visitors and added to the mix you will be surrounded by historic buildings and tourist must-sees to enhance your visit to Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Why not bring the new and old together and snap yourself in amongst these historic landmarks with the freshness of the 2019 Fringe?

Don’t forget, if you are hitting up social media with your snaps from the Fringe this year to include the hashtags #MakeYourFringe
