London: artWEEK Exhibition (in support of Central London Samaritans)
18 September, 2017 - 23 September, 2017
The London Lounges are thrilled to be hosting this week-long exhibition of artwork by emerging artists from around the world, all in aid of Central London Samaritans (CLS) and as part of celebrating the Hope Canvas Initiative, curated by Patsy Buchanan.
The “Hope” Canvas Initiative is a challenge to artists to see how quickly they can create an artwork for sale, on a canvas 20cm × 20cm, with the theme of hope. These heartfelt pieces of art are then kindly donated to raise money for Charities. We’ll have some of these on display and available to purchase at our public, evening event being held during artWEEK on Wednesday 20 September in our Haymarket Lounge. Find more details on the Virgin Money website here.
We’ll also have artist, Robert Lee Davis, in residence throughout the week who’ll capture the Lounges in all their glory. As well as watching his work unfold before you as you relax with a tea or coffee, you can join him in discussion on the last day of the exhibition in the Haymarket Lounge, Saturday 23rd
We’ll be trying to raise as much as possible for this great Charity, so all donations big or small will be warmly welcomed throughout the week, whether made in person or via the Virgin Money Giving page. Did you know that with every £5 donated, you could help Central London Samaritans to complete a phone call that could save someone’s life? Please help us make a vital difference.
Artwork on display is available for sale with 15% of proceeds going to the Central London Samaritans and small canvasses from the “Hope” Canvas Initiative will also be available to purchase, where 100% of proceeds will go to CLS.
Open to all, we can’t wait to see you there!
